ABOUT ME
Hi, My Name is Nicole!
I am 24 years old and graduated from FAU in December of 2023. Throughout my life, I knew I wanted to choose a career that made a huge impact on others. I am very compassionate and want to dedicate my life to ensuring that everyone is safe, healthy, and happy.
I attended Trinity Catholic High School from 2014-2018. I was a member of the marching band my sophomore and junior years. I was also in the symphonic and pep bands, and a member of the debate club, competing across Florida. My senior year I decided to start up a recycling club and became the President of it. Every Friday, I, along other members of the club, would sift through both recycling bins to remove the trash that was not recyclable. I then would load the recyclables into my car and bring them to the nearest recycling center. My initiative inspired students and even teachers to start recycling at home and bring them to school.
My senior year of high school I chose FAU because my goal originally was to be a first responder. I wanted a degree that set myself apart from other candidates in the same field. FAU was the only school in Florida with a degree in Public Safety Administration, which would offer me a broader field of expertise in comparison to a degree in Criminal Justice, which many future law enforcement officers choose.
While at FAU, I ended up falling in love with the material I was learning. Law, Disaster Management, Victimology, Admin & Ethics, Public Administration, and Multiagency Incident Command, are a few examples of what I had learned to love.
My freshman year I joined the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
I was a member of the Marching Owls for 2 years, practicing what felt like every single day and dedicating all of my free time to my school spirit. I was also a member of our Pep Band and had the honor of shaking hands with President Trump on live television.
I was initiated into Sigma Alpha Iota, which is a national music fraternity, my sophomore year of college. I eventually became the Vice President of Rituals. This fraternity gave me a sisterhood where we were able to bond over something we all loved: music.
Florida Atlantic University was one of the best experiences I’ve had in my life. I made lifelong friends, learned new skills to apply in my career, and found a passion in something that I wasn’t expecting. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities that I had while attending college and I look forward to the rest of the opportunities it brings me.
